Here is something I would like to see more of! The Pacific Locomotive Assoc has traded CP 633, a 0-6-0 from 1882 to the CA State RR Museum. This was a local commuter tank engine used in Oakland before the line went electric in 1911. The State museum plans to display it in the building where it was erected, all those years ago. More organizations should take a good hard look at what they have and can work with and pass the artifacts to another museum if it is better equipped to preserve or display it. Are there any other 19th century steam engines from the CP/SP Shops still out there?

Virigina & Truckee 4-4-0 #19 "DAYTON", in the collection of Nevada State RR Museum, was built by the Sacramento Shops of the CP in 1873. The V&T bought the only two locomotives the CP built directly for another company.
#18 and 2-6-2T #233 are the only known existing locomotives built by the CP.
