This is merely idle speculation, as I represent neither group, but do you think it would be possible that the B&O museum would give up ex-Reading T-1 2101 (ex AFT#1) to the Reading Co. Technical and Historical Society? A member of the B&O museum tells me that while 2101's condition is poor, they must devote their resources to stabilizing the B&O and C&O content of the museum, which is understandable. Would they be winning to give up 2101 to an organization willing to give her the TLC she so desperately needs? RCT&HS is making preparations to build a new museum on the site of the RDG yard in Schuylkill Haven, Pa., their web site is http://www.readingrailroad.org.

Maybe the B&O Museum would give up 2101 in a trade for another C&O steamer (I believe all B&O steamers are now at the B&O Museum), since they seem to be so devoted to C&O and B&O steam. The only problem is, I don't think your Reading Historical Society group has a C&O steamer to trade with. It seems to me that if the B&O museum isn't paying that much attention to 2101, they would be eager to get rid of it. I have seen pictures of it and it looks awful.
as far as I know, RCT&HS has a bit of Reading equipment (diesels, MUs and some rolling stock) but, um, lemme check here... nope, no C&O steamer.
