While we thought we had found a new home for the Perrydald Depot at
Medford's Railroad Park, some situations have come up there, which
they now must resolve before considering taking on such a project as
moving a depot 250 miles; and then needing to reassemble it and restore it.

While we are still working to secure our pernament home (now possibly
on a former logging line ROW, which has Oregon's and possibly the
West's oldest Covered Railroad Bridge on it), we have no intentions
of seeing the depot demolished; and are still looking for a museum
interested in acquiring it, by our giving a Pernament Loan of the depot to them.

The Pernament Loan, is due to our reading and understanding of the
wording in the Declaration of Gift to OSRM, by the Polk County
Commissioners. It states that OSRM will dismantle, move and
reassemble and see to it that the depot is used at "a" museum. Our
attorney tells us, that while he didn't think they meant we must keep
ownership, their exact wording could be interpereted that way; and to
be safe, a Pernament Loan would keep ownership technically with OSRM.

We have sent an email to the group in Brooks, but have not received a
response yet; so until we have a place for it to go, the depot's
future location is up for grabs. The property owner 400 Ft. North of
the depot's present location, has said that if need be, we can sit it
on his property, for a couple of months; so while it must be moved
from where it currently is, we at least have a last ditch temporary
home for it; if necessary.

We are open to suggestions. Does your group need a depot? We want
to keep the Chimney bricks, to sell to local citizens who have asked
if some type of souvineer would be available. We chose the bricks;
as many will get broke tearing the chimney down; and bricks have been
successfully sold by other groups; on other projects.
