Hello, A while back, Frisco 1506 was offered on the board for sale or.... Recently my father passed away. This has brought a new urgency to the disposition of Frisco 1506. My brother and I are not in a position to care for the car and it has been decided that we will look at any and all offers for the car. 1506 is on live rail but has friction bearings, so without a bearing swap will need to be moved by truck. I'll be taking photos this weekend, weather permitting. We really could use money for the car, but we'll seriously look at a proposal from a Non-profit and will consider donating the car to a party that is willing to at least restore the car cosmetically. If no offers are forthcoming, the car will be sold for scrap. This goes against every bone in my body, but if it comes down to that, then that is what we will do. Dad had a hand in saving many pieces of rail equipment and I hate to see the last piece that he owned reduced to razor blades, so I ask that you think about this and make an effort to keep the car around. The C of G trucks are heavyweight bolt on pedestal trucks. They are complete as far as I know minus brass. They came from the Mount Oray (sp) wich was a heavyweight obs that went to the Waccamaw Coastline RR in Myrtle Beach, SC. They are currently located on my parents property. Bring a chainsaw a crane and flatbed truck and come get them or they will be offered as scrap. Please feel free to contact me via email at davenport6_1941@bellsouth.net Phone: Cell 270-293-4000 Home 270-885-7475 after 5:30 cst Thanks, Stuart |
