Heritage freight, anyone?

There are two outside braced, single sheathed boxcars up for auction by an auctioneer in Red Wing, Minnesota. Here is the announcement.

"Greetings!

We are contacting you to inform you of an upcoming auction which features two vintage railroad box cars with all running gear. The cars have been used for storage for many years. Both are currently sitting thirty yards from an existing railroad track. We have attached some pictures for you to see [I'll send them to you if you're interested, Jim V]. The auction will be held September 23, 2006, beginning at 10:00 am, in Red Wing, Minnesota (an hour drive south of St.Paul/Minneapolis).

If you would like more information and directions, please contact us via email, alsantiquemall@hotmail.com; at our toll-free number, (888) 388-0572; or visit the auctioneer's website, www.letjackdoit.com. If you visit the website, please note that this auction also features a large amount of vintage beer memorabilia, so the auction is listed as such.

Thank You!

The box cars are apparently mechanically complete and look to be in decent shape, but the wood siding undoubedly needs replacing. I do not know their heritage but that should be easy to acertain. If you would like photos of one of the cars, please contact me off-line and I'll send them to you.

Thanks!

Jim:
1. Do you have photos of the cars you could email to me?
2. Are you going to the auction?
Thank you.
