I am looking for a few passenger cars for purchase. Specifically, four axle cars with higher seating capacity, preferably about 76-80 seats. I know of some of the ex Canadian and LI transit cars, but would like to know what else is out there that may be more appropriate for a period steam train in the mountains. Open windows would be a big plus. Give me a shout if you know of any that may be available. Also, I may have some operating 50 seat heavy weight cars available for sale at some point in the future. Any interest? Ryan Scott 828-631-6160 |

Try GEORGIA SOUTHWESTERN RAILROAD. Last I was aware, they had several cars and a couple of nice E or F units for sale. V. Pres., Dave Smoot can be of assistance. Believe their site is; www.GSWRR.COM, or may be org. Hope this is beneficial. Ray |

GSWR is offering their entire train set: 2 FP-9 locomotives 2 Budd RDC trailers (coaches, no "hump") 1 ex-Amtrak dinette car (heritage unknown) 1 ex-LIRR car converted to open platform lounge obs car Asking price I have heard is $800k. You would need to talk to them about purchasing any of the equipment separately. I don't think they are willing to break it up, though. |
