Post subject:  L & WV steam weekend update

Steam comes to the L&WV Ry!
September 14th 15th & 16th, 2007
The Lorain & West Virginia Railway is pleased to announce
our first Steam weekend! The date coincides with
LaGrange engine show at the Lorain County Fairgrounds.
More engine show information is available at
the website: www.lagrangeengineclub.com
The featured locomotive is Viscose company #6, a Baldwin-
built coal-fired 0-4-0 tank engine which was recently
rebuilt. This locomotive has recently operated excursions
on scenic railroads in other states. It promises
to provide an interesting experience to railfans of all
ages—it’s small enough to entertain youngsters, yet is an
authentically restored coal-fired steam engine.
A unique 8.5 mile train ride will be provided in a open
excursion car and a caboose. A coach will be added if demand
warrants. Trains will depart from the Fairgrounds
Main Gate of the Engine Show as well as from the
L&WV Station at 46485 State Route 18 in Wellington.
Ticket price is $15.00 per rider*. Advance sale tickets are
$14.00 and no other discounts will be offered for this
special event. Regular Trains are cancelled for this
Steam-Only weekend. Advance Tickets can be purchased
at our Station in Wellington, starting September
1st or by credit card over the phone at 440-647-6660.
