Since we started selling our very popular Erie Starrucca china five years ago, we have received many requests for a DL&W-based pattern. ELDCPS is now proud to announce that we have begun taking pre-production orders for reproductions of the DL&W "Lackawanna" pattern china.

The "Lackawanna" pattern was used by the DL&W in the early 20th century. Originally produced by Syracuse China, we have worked with the Homer Laughlin China Company to reproduce this rare pattern. Pre-dating the "St. Albans" floral pattern, it is extremely difficult to find pieces of the "Lackawanna" pattern in good condition. Many of the pieces that show up are very worn, chipped or cracked. Also many pieces have a blurred border or herald that is common on early patterns because of the difficultly of applying the decal to the piece during the manufacturing process. Origina dinner plates in this pattern can command $400 - $500 in fair condition. The all time high price we have seen was a demitasse cup and saucer in really good condition that went for over $1600!

The "Lackawanna" pattern features the Lackawanna herald at the 12 o'clock position on each piece, surrounded by a floral wreath around the edge of the piece. The china is white with attractive aqua-blue color printing. Like our other reproductions, each piece is backstamped as an ELDCPS reproduction.

We are offering special pre-production pricing on the "Lackawanna" china until June 15, 2008. We are also offering a special combo deal with a placesetting of "Lackawanna" China and our "Sierra" flatware, which wereused together on the DL&W. As usual, proceeds from all sales goes towards the restoration of Diners 741 and 470.
