Post subject:  Help Wanted - Steam Locomotive Machinist

Valley Railroad Co. (http://www.essexsteamtrain.com ) is in need of a machinist, experienced with steam locomotive restoration. Qualifications include the ability to work in a rather cramped shop with older (read: no CNC) machines, do own planning, set up and turn out accurate work in a timely fashion. Must work well with a wide variety of personalities.
This is a temporary position for the duration of the restoration of one steam locomotive, we estimate that the project we take about 18 months.
We are prepared to be flexible with work schedules (three weeks on, one week off or some such). Hourly rate is negotiable.
Contact: jdconrad@snet.net with questions or more information.
