The National Park Service has and opening for a fireman/mechanic at the
Golden Spike National Historic Site. The opening closes on 12/15/2009.
Go to USAJOBS.Gov, search jobs, Dept of Interior, National Park Service,
and scroll down to close date of 12/15/09, mechanic helper/fire tender.
Interesting job for some one working on a real old steam locomotive.

Older then Levithan, but..........

practically new, as built in the 1970's with no recycled parts, and having very low mileage since there isn't much track there to run them on. Arguably the most beautiful locomotives in the US, but "real old" doesn't seem accurate.
