I received the following information from a contact in New York. He was hopeful that the museum in Gaithersburg, MD would be interested in the B&O baggage car and contacted me since I worked as a volunteer member of a study committee for the City. Alas, Gaithersburg has limited space and is already committed to other projects so I offered to post the information here. I have no financial interest in this equipment or any transactions that may result from this listing.

TEXT OF MESSAGE

I have a friend who is the owner of several pieces of railroad equipment and
will be offering them for sale (if consummated very quickly) or scrapping them.
This is a matter of raising cash while getting out of the preservation business
- donations are out of the question. The equipment resides in the Buffalo NY
area. Included:

1) B&O A-18 Coach #5302 (I believe about 1926 vintage) - still with clerestory
roof. This may be one of the last surviving A-18's.

2) B&O B-8 Baggage Car #441 in MOW green paint

3) CN Baggage(?) car, wood roof, as I recall

4) CN 2-8-2 steam locomotive - retired and preserved in pretty decent working
order.

Any (serious, not just curious, please) interested parties can contact me OFF
LIST with their e-mail address and I will attempt to connect them with the
seller. If anyone wants to forward e-mail addresses to me (again, OFF LIST) to
me of folks who might want to add any of these pieces to their preservation efforts, I will, also, try to help.

Please bear in mind that this is an urgent matter of trying to raise cash in
the next month or so after years of securing these treasures. Scrapping is being
seriously considered so offers below scrap value are not likely to be
entertained.
