Built by Tom Ternings of Kansas. The engine is a 5/8 scale model of a Baldwin 2-4-2 steam locomotive. It was originally built with a non-code boiler and a new code boiler was built and installed in 1994. The boiler is coal fired and the operating pressure is 150psi. The entire train has been gone through and has steel tires on the locomotive drivers and all of the wheels on the tender and cars now. The train is equipped with air brakes and two different air compressors. There are four passenger cars and they seat approximately twenty-five people per car. The track is approximately a one-half mile oval and uses steel cross ties and is included.
This is a very nice fully functional train set and would make a nice addition to a club or person that is seeking a turn-key operation after the track is installed. I am listing this for the owner and will be happy to address any questions. Interested buyers are welcome to bring their U.T. machines and I will make arrangements for the owner to be available during buyer’s inspection.
