Hi folks. I'm building a narrow gauge speeder for a museum display and need a set of wheels. Any brand would work, the size is most important. Bearing blocks would be nice too. LOL

I'm located in the Northeast.

Thanks!

Chris

I believe there is one company in China that still makes the stamped version that you are asking about, finding that company is the difficult part.

You may already be aware of the following sites...but I bring them up in case you are not

http://www.narcoa.org/forsale/4sale_want.htm

and http://www.railspeeders.com/wantads/wantads.asp

NARCOA requires that you be a member to post a wanted ad on their site but does not require that you be a member to follow-up and purchase from a member's ad.

I do not believe RailSpeeders requires any membership or fee.

then there is always eBay...I got my 20" wheels from a seller in Pennsylvania that was selling fairmont manufactured trailers that were used to move targets around on a military shooting range...I bought the wheelsets, axles, blocks and let him scrap the frames.

good luck in your quest!

EDIT: In looking at postings on RailSpeeders, I see that you are already aware of the site. Again, I wish you luck!

Close, but not quite. The wheels in Canada are a mismatched collection, and the other wheels are much smaller than 20".

As for the China connection, thanks but no thanks. I'll do without before I deal with China. Going to China for all our manufacturing needs is one of the key components of our current financial crisis. They also own more of our major debt than most people realize.

But thanks for posting!

C.
