FREE...

I have a 40lb.,10"x12"x16" cardboard file box full of Locomotive Engineers Journals, the official monthly publication of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Dates I've seen so far run from 1913-1918, and perhaps further in either direction. Besides the usual union news of meetings, deaths, etc., each one has an illustrated technical section, explaining how various engine and car appliances, brakes, etc., operate. Each issue also has numerous photos, plus advertisements for railroad clothing, watches, locomotives and appliances and hemorrhoid treatments. These came from a relative of a long-ago Rutland RR engineer.

We're lightening our load in anticipation of a move. If you can pick these up at my home in Wilton, NY, you're welcome to them. I could possibly arrange shipping, but it would not be inexpensive. Contact me via email at bobyar2001@yahoo.com.

I used to go through my Dad's issue cover to cover back in the day. They always had good technical stuff and air brake articles as well as the "True Tales" page. I still have some of them which had pictures or mention of Dad in them.
Good reading.
