Built by Barney & Smith in 1899 as business car #200 for the Kansas City, Pittsburg & Gulf Railroad and was eventually renumbered to #100 then #102. The KCP&G later became part of the Kansas City Southern Railroad and the car was assigned to KCS president Job Edson and named "Geraldyne" after his daughter. Mr. Edson left the KCS in 1918 for a post with the United States Railway Administration and he took the car with him and it became USRA #102. When Job returned to the KCS the car was assigned to him until his retirement in 1927. After his retirement the car was renumbered to KCS #99 and was eventually sold by the KCS in 1963 to Arthur Temple founder of Texas Inland and the Texas Southeastern Railroad. Temple used the car for entertaining customers but specifically for his son to have birthday parties on. Sold once more into private ownership in 2007. Some of the mechanical details include: Steel under frame (carbody is wood sheathed in steel), friction bearings, bolted pedestals, cast shoes, good body, ice air conditioning, original platform and railing (end of car has been boarded up to keep vandals out), original wood interior, E couplers, body mounted cylinders, D-22 brake valves.
NOTE: The lounge chairs, sofa and the dining room chairs are not included with the car and are no longer on the car.
