Looking for used locomotive boiler tubes and lengths of 85 or less lb rail for use as sign posts for restored cast iron signs. Several railroads used these as cheap ways to mount signs. I'd like to be as accurate as possible in my restorations. I can get pipe anywhere, but want used boiler tubes from actual steam locomotives. Rail preferred to be 85# or less. Ideally 5 to 6 foot lengths. Any thoughts or leads would be appreciated. Located in the midwest but travel to the east coast yearly so I'm open to many locations. Bill Sica Rio WI |
