CHEAP Hi-rail truck!!

Railroad Museum of New England in Thomaston, Connecticut has a surplus-to-our-needs 1992 Chevrolet 3500, with Reading utility body and ladder rack (former D&H/CP signal maintainer's truck). Has good Fairmont 0307 manual hi-rail gear. Had a new 350 V-8 engine (factory "crate engine") about 10,000 miles ago, auto trans rebuilt, new gas tank, alternator, brake work, good tires (the special, expensive "just-for-hi-rail" ones)-- mechanically it's pretty decent. It had about 2000 miles a year put on it the last 15 years. Has a sliding back cab window for full natural air conditioning on those hot summer days.

Was recently replaced with a crew-cab 1993 GMC, so this one is no longer needed.

Wired for Motorola mobile radio (no radio in it now) with external speaker, has a strobe, too. It has copious body rot-- both the Reading body and the Chev cab. Missing doors for the body are in the main compartment. It's not pristine condition, but it works and runs and it's useable and it's CHEAP compared to anything else you'll see. More pics upon request. We will not deliver, you come and get it. Bring money. We ask $2000 but MAKE AN OFFER!!!
