Many years ago Philips lighting made an old locomotive headlight that had a household screw base and a long neck. It was 250 watt and 34 volts. They were discontinued but a factory overseas began making them shortly there after. About 18 months ago the factory stopped manufacturing the lamp and I have gotten calls from many people frantically searching. I was unable to source them until now. Another manufacturer agreed to make them, they have been tested and will be available in August. I know it is a long time but it is better than the alternative of having to rig up something to work in the space for that headlight. Please spread the word to the trolley museums, tourist railroads and the like as I am sure they will be thrilled that they will have the correct lamp soon enough. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to place an order for August delivery. Thank you very much.

Yes!

Bob from Aamsco Lighting has been working with a manufacturer to produce theses bulbs again. I have been field testing samples of these bulbs on LV 112 and really like that way they perform.

So either Ammsco or any other supplier of choice will have these bulbs soon.

When every one else blew me off last fall, Bob was willing to work with me and see the need for vintage loco headlight bulbs. So IMHO when looking for these bulbs go to Aamsco.

Bob is a fellow Jersey boy, so forgetaboutit!
