Post subject:  Gainesville Midland painting for sale

Hi,

I wrote the book The Gainesville Midland and her Sister Short Lines.

Due to lack of funds, I have decided to see about selling the $550.00 painting I had done for the cover of the book. It is a 10" x 14" painting done by John Coker (ex-Cumbres and Toltec engineer) in 2004.

The painting was based on a black and white photo of a GM train on a summer day in the 1950s. The photo had about 10-12 cars with an ex-Russian decapod on the head end (203). Since GM 209 was on display in Gainesville and being refurbished. I asked for the engine number to be changed to 209. 209 was a Baldwin light decapod built to similar plans to the Russian decapods but built about 1930.

If you might be interested in this, contact me at edgarcorny gmail com.

If the interest shows the price to be high enough I will offer it for sale.

Thanks.
