This unit has been vandalized, but still has many good parts left on it. It would also be a good candidate for cosmetic restoration and display. The traction motors should still be good, as this unit has not been underwater. This locomotive is on friction bearings, so it can't be moved on it's own wheels. I would prefer to sell this unit to someone that could use it's parts to keep another 539 Alco running, instead of to a scrapper. Serious purchasers only, please; don't insult me and then ask for a donation.

I purchased this unit from GWH in the early 90s; the main generator was fairly new at the time, and I didn't put many hours on it. The unit is former Washington Terminal 59.

I sent you a PM a few weeks ago regarding this unit. I'm highly interested.

Bump- Unit is still available as complete unit. I don't have time, or crane in some cases, to harvest individual parts.
