The Wasatch Railroad/Railcar Repair Contractors family has positions open in four of our locations. Resumes are to be sent to email@example.com. Positions are open from August 10, 2016 until August 26, 2016. We expect to fill these positions on or before September 1, 2016.
All positions subject to drug testing and general skills testing. All positions require valid drivers license. All positions require some weekend work and shift work. Currently WRC does not have any Graveyard shifts, day and swing only. If WRC provides or helps with moving a two year minimum commitment is required, otherwise moving costs to be returned to WRC.
Positions as follows:
Project Manager, Cheyenne, WY.
Incumbent must be able to manage projects and people. Must have good communication skills and must be able to manage projects both physically and financially. Projects managers need to have working knowledge of welding practices. Code qualified welder is a plus. Incumbent must be able to show basic knowledge of boilers and running gear. Most important incumbent must have a passion for historic steam railroading and for trains in general. Travel is required. Project Managers start at $16.00 and cap at current rate of about $24.00 per hour. Position is a salary position. Vacation and flex time are part included. Health coverage can be included and some moving costs can be covered.
Shop Foreman Sand Springs OK Wasatch Railcar Repair
Incumbent must have past railcar repair background and working knowledge of freight cars and freight car repairs. Incumbent must be able to grow a staff of employees as needed and be able to learn the policies and procedures of Wasatch. Must be 49CFR Part 200-299 conversant. Qualified welder a plus, not required. NDT credentials a plus, not required. Most important incumbent must have a passion for railroading and for trains in general. Travel is required. Position starts at $18.00 and cap at current rate of about $28.50 per hour. Position is a salary position. Vacation and flex time are included. Health coverage can be included and some moving costs can be covered.
General labor all locations, Shoshoni, WY. Cheyenne, WY. Sand Springs, OK. Somerset KY.
Skills needed include metal work (non certified) wood work, paint prep and paint, plumbing and sheet metal work. General labor positions start at $10.00 per hour and cap at about $18.00 per hour. These positions are job specific and may not be full time but are on an "as needed" basis. Some positions have defined work until July 2017. These positions do not include perks and considered seasonal positions. Most important incumbent must have a passion for railroading and for trains in general. Travel is required.
