Post subject:  Nearly Complete Extra 2200 South and The Short Line magazine

The Md. Rail Heritage Library at the Baltimore Streetcar Museum in Baltimore has recently received two large estate donations which included the following:

One seemingly complete set of Extra 2200 South, the locomotive data periodical, running from 1972 to the apparent end of publication, plus possibly another nearly complete set that can be assembled from a combination of estate and surplus.

One mostly complete set of The Short Line, minus the first 24 issues plus about 2-3 issues filling gaps in our holdings.

We also have a large number of pre-WW2 and WW2-era issues of Railroad Man's Magazine/Railroad Magazine. This set has not been gone through completely, and some of the 1950s/1960s issues have already been liquidated. I just balked a moment when I saw issues from the 1930s in there.

If there is a railroad museum or academic library that would want these for their holdings, we are willing to transfer these to them for the cost of shipping. IF no library steps forward, we are willing to entertain private offers, preferably involving trades but possibly for cash.

The Extra 2200 Souths and The Short Lines have a new home in Ohio with Youngstown Steel Heritage.

We have a private offer for the 1930s-1960s Railroad Magazine. Last chance for a nonprofit railroad archive to make a claim.
