Post subject:  Cottier Patent Ventilator Replicas Available

We are working on replicating the original Cottier Patent Air Vents for the McKeen Car "Cuyamaca" and a freind of mine commented that since these were common on early Harriman Passenger cars (I believe they would be of the 60-C class.) I'm not sure if Cottier sold these vents to railroads, or permitted the railroads to build ventilators using his patent or how it worked, but these are the same design as seen on more than just McKeen Cars. I am in the initial stages of producing these ventilators, and I have a few changes lined up for our tinsmith so that the ventilators will look nicer once constructed and painted, but we could produce more of these if they are needed elsewhere on a different railcar. If you need changes made, or want to clarify something, that's completely possible, as these vents have not be produced yet. As for pricing, I don't know what the per piece cost is going to be yet, but if we do sell these to you, any profit from extra work done by myself will be put towards the restoration of the "Cuyamaca."
