Post subject:  Mining Rail equipment available

Just passing this along with permission of the equipment owner.

Palmer Coal and Coking Company in Black Diamond, WA has a number of coal mine cars and other mining rail equipment that will need to be removed. The owner, Bill, is willing to see this equipment preserved by museums and other historical groups that cover coal mining, but will scrap if necessary.

I've included a couple photos of some of the equipment that is there. The front office phone number is

I am told that they are 3 foot gauge.

Most underground coal mining equipment in WV was 42" gauge.
