The Texas Crushed Stone Co. is selling 20 miles of unused right of way between Lampasas and Burnet, TX, as well as a railgen power car, and a lounge car. For more information, please check the individual ads listed on the page below: http://www.texascrushedstoneco.com/prod ... B2OQM024Qk As a note, I am not affiliated with the sellers in any way, shape, or form. This came across my feed on Facebook and I thought someone here might be interested in it. |

Looks like a lot of the ROW in Burnet and Lampsas has been sold of and made into neighborhoods. Not a practical purchase for the Austin Steam Train Association to extend their line, even if they could approach a price. Looks like a future bike path, I suppose. |

History of car for sale 3040 "Georgetown", was built as Chicago & Alton 680 "Chicago", a parlor observation car. It became Alton RR 3040 "Chicago" and then Gulf Mobile & Ohio 3040 "Chicago". It was rebuilt as a parlor car with closed end. It was sold to Texas Crushed Stone as 3040 "Georgetown". |

Curios if the former GM&O Parlor Car made it to a new home for preservation or if it was scrapped? Does anyone have any follow up to the Texas sale in August 2019? Thank you. |
