For Sale:

ex-ATSF caboose believed to be #1598, located in Indiana $5,000.

Caboose is on a set of roller bearing trucks with 5 1/2 X 10 bearings.
These are not original and not caboose trucks.
Cupola set to one end and has several bench seats in it.

Sadly, the caboose recently had several windows broken out of it by vandals.

ex-N&W caboose #530318 located in Indiana $6,000.

Caboose is in original form as purchase from the railroad.
It also has rusted out areas at the lower area of the body.

Both will need to be trucked out of their current location.

Location: Somewhere east of Prescott, AZ along the old Santa Fe "Prescott & Eastern"
Some history:

The Santa Fe one was later Illinois Terminal 961.

The N&W one is a steel center-cupola cupola caboose built in 1957 for the Virginian:

Both later served on the Carthage, Knightstown & Shirley Railroad operation.

Hi folks.
Anything out that way still available?

Looking for a caboose for use as a moveable office in a railyard.
Steel van, roller bearings, as original interior as possible.
Long distances, will qualify to travel by rail. Will preserve heritage.

CPEmpress2816@hotmail.com

This is not a CP request.

Thanks

Just a point of interest, that former VGN caboose was built in 1947, not 1957. It shows all the typical signs of rot that series had from coal dust eating the side sheets out from the inside.
