Age of Steam Roundhouse has an entry level position open for an individual looking to make historic railroad operation and restoration as a career in the effort to continue this unique industry into the future for upcoming generations. This position is a labor/mechanic role that will allow the working in the many areas that keep vintage rail equipment and their shop facilities functioning. The desire to work in this field along with the knowledge of using basic hand tools as well as hand power tools are some of the requirements. Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. Good benefits, vacation time, Simple IRA, and more are available. Starting hourly pay is $15 with a 90-day probationary period. Normal work schedule is Monday thru Friday, with occasions weekends or when special events occurs. Background checks are standard.
