recrewed 608 at mechanicville ny friday, passed another 608 parked on colonie 3rd rail, and excess cars on track 1 in the expanded yard, caught a glimpse of what looks line the old equipment being scrapped, looks like they started with an old wooden boxcar, can the rest be far behind, ed

The caboose & boxcar according to some have not been scrapped but craned and shipped elsewhere.
I am told however that scrapping of the rst of the locomotives and other equipment will begin by the end April 2013.


....and yes! "WE GOTTA SAVE THEM "!

The Boston & Maine RS3 would be a nice piece, simply because it's B&M. In reality, I wonder how much is repairable on the locomotive?
