I will be traveling in a sleeper on the Sunset Limited from New Orleans to LA. The train leaves New Orleans at 9 AM. Will the dining car be open for breakfast at the departure time? or am I on my own for breakfast? Thanks for your help. |

Nope, it leaves New Orleans too late for breakfast in the diner. Lunch and dinner on day 1, and all 3 meals on day 2 were in the diner and were all fine. BTW, the day I rode the Sunset it arrived in LA about 30 minutes early. But sleeper passengers can stay on board until 6 AM so that was not a problem. |
