Post subject:  Keokuk Junction Ry. Santa Train

Figured those in the area (west-central Illinois) might like to know that the Keokuk Junction Railway is running its annual Santa Train over the former TP&W west end on December 7th. The train will carry Santa to visit children in Mapleton, Glasford, Breeds, Canton, Cuba, and Smithfield Il.

Schedule is as follows:
Mapleton: 8:30am
Glasford: 9:35am
Breeds: 11:20am
Canton: 1:30pm
Cuba: 3:45pm
Smithfield: 5:15pm

Usual disclaimer of times subject to change; schedule will be adhered to as close as possible, but KJ tries not to turn people away and has not yet perfected a weather machine. Train will run in weather that is not dangerous.

At present it is intended that Santa's motive power be the KJRy's matched EMD FP9As, but again usual disclaimer of power subject to change.

Unfortunately, the railroad was not able to secure use of a passenger car this year, so no rides will be available.
