Can anyone recommend any other good train songs on you tube besides The Ballad of The Big Boy I have to play that for my twins at least 10 times a day.

I don't know about train songs - but the "Kids Love Trains" series on YouTube is pretty popular, all three volumes as as matter of fact. Maybe they'll like one (or all) of those...

Cool I'll have to check it out. They do like watching your Strasburg videos especially when #90 is in it.

This is one of the best, I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3tlCqqg7lw I loved this when I was a kid, they used to play it on Captain Kangaroo, with scenes from the UP film, "Last of the Giants,"

In another vein -- there are the two great Gerry Mulligan tracks --

Interestingly enough, I've never seen the first one set to the kind of video it deserves...

Thanks for the suggestions I'll see what the little rail fan's think. Right now it's all about the big boy last year it was #90 LOL. Hopefully by the time they're 7 the big boy is running.

These were produced when I was just a little kid, and I always enjoyed the songs at the end of the book-on-tape.

Why fool with songs for kids? There's better for them, and us, too!

maybe I should ask this here, I listened to this record, perhaps for children, perhaps it was a tune from a movie adapted for children listening? dunno...

I cannot recall the title, or perhaps this was its title... but...

it had a male singer lead, then a chorus of male/female, and the chorus would constantly be singing..

"I love the sound of a train I love the sound of a train I love the sound of a train..."

I recall the tune very well and some of the words, but in other ways my memory is fuzzy

I'd like to find this tune, it was a very swing/jazzy upbeat tune.
