What do you think are the odds of the entire Retlaw 1 consist (including the combine and the Lilly Belle) being together again and pulled by one of the two original Disneyland RR locomotives (C. K. Holliday or E. P. Ripley)? |

Odds are zero. Nada. Zilch. Not gonna happen. Ever. Disney legal won't do anything that is not on Disney property under Disney control. Especially with steam locomotives or railroad operations. Closest thing came in 2011 when the Carolwood Foundation had a special event at Santa Margarita Ranch when the combine and the four coaches from the Retlaw One consist operated together for one day. From 2006-2008, Disney displayed a different engine at the former annual Fullerton Railroad Days in Fullerton, CA (2006 - Ripley, 2007 - Holliday, 2008 - Marsh). While not operation, it flies in the face of your statement that Disney won't do anything it doesn't control on non-Disney property. |
