Post subject:  Lehigh Valley RR Whistles

Are there any Lehigh Valley buffs here who might know what kind of whistles the steam engines carried on them? Judging from photos and the dates, they seemed to carry a short-bell whistle initially, and in later years, a long-bell whistle. I'm guessing they may have been 3 chimes, but totally not sure.

I'm also curious as to how these whistles sounded. Did they sound minor chords, major chords, etc?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Here's some photos...

PS. Lehigh Valley had some of the most handsome steam power, didn't they?
