Post subject:  Gold King Mine Blowout

Not specifically rail but in the heart of one of the most treasured rail routes in the world. Last Friday's accident that lead to the release of 3 or so million gallons of heavy metal laden mine waste water down Cement Creek along the ROW of the Silverton Gladstone and Northerly and on to the Animas River has happened before. To the North and East along the Clear Creek another famous Rail land mark the Argo Tunnel near Blackhawk blew out in 1943 and again in 1980.
