Hi,

I found the attached photo on my computer.

Since this is a square photo, I suspect it is taken using a Kodak 126 Instamatic. I think this is one of the earliest photos I took. It would have been between 1966-1970 (I was about 11-14 at the time)

The mountain is (I think) Blue Mountain. The bridge is the Rockville Bridge over the Susquehanna River.

The bridge is either the Harvey Taylor Bridge (before the interstate highway bridge was built) or the Interstate (I-83?). When was the Interstate highway bridge built?

I think I see a train on the bridge on the left of the photo.

Poor photo and taken at long distance. Sorry 'bout that.

Yeah, that's going to be an Instamatic picture; I hated that embossed texture on my railroad photos like poison, and there is the soft lack of focus, the weird washed-out 'averaged on the computer' colors, the constellations-out-in-the-daytime dust spots.

Interestingly enough, if you run this through a few filters in Photoshop and then deconvolve it with NSA software, you can clearly make out a couple of E units on that mail train, although branches are blocking a couple of the cab-number digits on both. The train coming into Enola behind the Geeps, though, is led by 7003... ;-}
