When outright partisan garbage such as:
Quote:
"On a personal note, I can't wait to see the corpulent criminal Gov. of NJ wearing an orange jump suit as a guest of either the NJ or federal penal system

is being spouted, then the discussion has derailed COMPLETELY from rail preservation and scalp-deep into the manure pit of politics. And I would dare say that most folks here come to get AWAY from that manure, no matter which way thay may lean politically.

And a wishy-washy attempt to tie partisan political approaches to transportation policy to rail preservation ain't gonna cut it.

You don't like being tossed to "railfanning" or being deleted completely? Reconsider your writing before hitting "Submit".

you know, since many transit properties have gone public the governments have to be railroad aware, railroad smart, and railroad responsible. But in the early private companies there have been many conflicts between town governments and streetcar companies as to who does street cleaning, or pavement improvements, and other latent responsibilies. Today it land on some of the whims of government leaders. Thats not good without my mentioned above. Best example today is NICTD who's work on the South Shore has been phenominal.

Its no wonder we get into political arguments like this but when it affects a railroad of concern, here we go again.
