Stopped by the Whippany Railway Museum and rode on one of their "Last Run of the Lackawanna Electrics" commemorative excursion runs aboard the Jersey Central lounge car. I was happy to see #385 looking beautiful on static display. She hasn't run under steam since 1978, but even if she doesn't run again I'm glad they saved and preserved the locomotive. Apparently #4039 is in pieces awaiting a new boiler, so maybe there will be steam in Whippany once again someday.
