Kelly -

Thanks for the schedule. Will be good to see the 765 out on the high iron again.

Kelly;

Has it been determined if 765 is going to observe the old NS steam operations speed limit of 40 MPH, or are you just going to run track speed for whatever sub you're on?

Paul,

The timetable speed still stands.

On each route, plans call for the 765 to carry a heritage whistle from the New York Central, Pennsylvania Railroad, Norfolk & Western, and Wabash Railroads with each whistle representing the route or territory that became part of Norfolk Southern’s system.

Aw, great, a "Banchee" whistle on a Berk. [*raspberry*]

(Hey, don't blame me, that's the way the majority of PRR employees misspelled the term.)

I'm confused. Does this mean 40 MPH max?

Thanks for the clarification.

Matt

Yes.

At one time, the 765 was listed in the timetable with its own speed limit of 60MPH.

Thanks Kelly.

I'm actually happy that it's 40. I'm getting too old for the old speed limits and I can't afford a helicopter. <g> Wave to me Westbound when you climb Horseshoe Curve on Aug. 20 (if you can pick anyone out of the throng that is probably going to be there)! I was too young to go out by myself for 759 on the curve, so I get a second chance.
