Besides all of you who have contributed funds to the 470 campaign, we've received two packages for which we wish to express gratitude.

The first was a box of Maine and northeastern railroad memorabilia, uniform buttons, pins, timetables, a brake handle, Union memorabilia, etc. Instructions included were to "use, keep, or sell to benefit the project". We were able to respond directly to the donor with a letter.

The other was received yesterday, anonymously but from Missouri. It is a manual for understanding and repairing the Franklin C1 booster under 470's cab. We've been hoping to receive such a book. Whoever you are who sent it, know it's appreciated and will become part of our permanent 470 library, to stay with the locomotive.

We have also received standing offers of services and donation certain replacement parts. These are a little ahead of where we are in our phased plan, but nevertheless, will be accepted.

We will be at the Springfield Railroad Show and look forward to shaking hands with every attendee.

Between geography and finances I can't do much of anything at all, but I want to add to the note of gratitude for these people supporting the 470.

Good luck with the girl. . .let's see her in steam!

I'd like to also thanks the "someone" that donated to your project.

That is a rare deed these days.
