Maine Eastern's roundhouse in Rockland, Maine is presently rebuilding a former Soo Line caboose. The caboose will serve as a passenger ticket office in Wiscasset, but will be retrievable should another building take its place. This photo is dated Feb 21, 2014.

The caboose should remain available for the "Touch A Train" event on April 12th, along with an FL9 and M424 Diesel, and several other cars. "Touch A Train" benefits the rebuild and restoration of Maine Central 470. This event will happen in conjunction with open house at Owls Head Transportation Museum, that same day.

Nice looking caboose.
Have they started on their new Wiscasset depot facility?
