"Pullman 10S-1DR-2C sleeper Lake Terrell (Lot #4770, Plan #3585L, 1924) sold in 1967 to Ruben Darby-Darby Wood Products. Acquired from Lake Shore RHS as SLRG #9173."

NO! Lake Shore Railway Historical Society owns Lake Terrell.

==============================

"Pullman 6S-6DB sleeper Poplar Summit (Plan #4084A), originally 12S-1DR sleeper McClung (Lot #4845, Plan #3410, 1925), converted in 1939. Sold in 1967 to Ruben Darby-Darby Wood Products. Acquired from Lake Shore RHS as SLRG #9166."

Correct, IPH purchased "Poplar Summit" nee"McClung" from LSRHS. Car was removed in 2011 and taken to South Carolina for rebuilding/reconstruction. Status unknown at this point.

==============================

"Pullman 3C-2DR sleeper lounge observation Central Park (Lot #4886, Plan #3959E, 1925) sold in 1955 to Chattahoochee Valley RR. Acquired from Lake Shore RHS as SLRG #9174."

NO! Lake Shore Railway Historical Society owns Central Park.

==============================

"Pullman 14SBD sleeper Nightstar (Lot #6056, Plan #3980C, 1927) sold in 1964 to Midwest Steel. Acquired from Lake Shore RHS as SLRG #9175."

NO! Lake Shore Railway Historical Society owns Nightstar.

==============================
Lake Shore Railway Historical Society has no plans to sell these three cars. Iowa Pacific has entered into an agreement with LSRHS to LEASE Lake Terrell, Nightstar, and Central Park. The three cars are still at the Lake Shore Railway Museum in North East, PA. When these three cars re-enter service they will NOT carry any Iowa Pacific reporting marks, rather they will carry the LSRHS' reporting marks (ENEX).

THANKS!

Additions:

Besides the North Coast Limited 4-4-2 dome sleeper CB&Q #304/#380, Iowa Pacific acquired at least 3 additional cars from Dave Varilek:

SP #3104, built in 1950 by Budd in Lot #9614-040 as a baggage-dormitory for the Sunset Limited (1 of 5, #3102-#3106), transferred in 1951 to T&NO #302, transferred back to SP #3104 in 1961, retained by SP in 1971 and reconfigured to test & research car #250, leased to FRA, later used by SP Police for protection of auto racks, to UP in 1996, sold in 2003 to Dave Varilek.

UP #1435 Pacific Rest, built in 1950 by Budd in Lot #9660-039 as a 10RM-6DB sleeper (1 of 50), sold in 1971 to Amtrak #2628, converted in 1980 to HEP #2894, sold in 1995 to Dave Varilek, the interior of the Pacific Rest has been completely removed.

Both SP #3104 and UP #1435 Pacific Rest departed Fremont, NE, on the morning of Thursday, August 21st, for Alamosa, as posted by "wpjones" on Trainorders:

Thread from 8/20: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,3499937

Thread from 8/21: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,3500802

At this point, I have not identified the third car, which is scheduled to be moved next week with CB&Q #304/#380.

As posted by Jerry LaBoda on page #3 of the Budd Observation Cars thread (http://www.rypn.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36247):

Well, additional threads posted on Trainorders by "wpjones" confirms that Iowa Pacific purchased a total of 5 cars from Dave Varilek:

Thread from 8/27, move of SP lounge diner: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,3506111

Thread from 9/6, move of GN #1324: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,3514591

The CB&Q #304/#380 will be moved last.

The other 2 cars are:

GN #1324, built in 1955 by Budd in Lot #9646-155 as a 46 seat chair 24 seat dome for the Empire Builder (1 of 16, #1320-#1335), to BN #4604 (not applied) to Amtrak #9464 wrecked at Ralston, NE, on 12/16/1976, sold in 1977 to Building Leasing Corp to Rail Dome Corp to Bob Moen to Dave Varilek.

SP Sunset Limited Pride of Texas club lounge diner, built in 1955 by Budd in Lot #9609-040, to Amtrak #832x-series, not rebuilt to HEP, one sold in 1976 and remainder stored until listed as retired in 1992-94. Does anyone know which car Dave Varilek acquired?

Trainorders thread from 9/12, posted by Dave Varilek: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,3520254

Including the #304, Iowa Pacific owns a total of 3 of the North Coast Limited dome sleepers, the other 2 cars are CB&Q #305 and NP #312/#378.

In the 3rd post of the Trainorders thread, Ed Ellis posted a picture of the NP #312/#378 as SLRG #312 in IC paint: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/attachments/fullsize/905000/North_Coast_2.jpg*
