On Monday, November 17, 2014, the Wyoming Tribune Eagle newspaper published an article by reporter Josh Rhoten about the UP #4014 project:

Getting ready to restore Big Boy - It will be 5-7 years before the historic Union Pacific Railroad steam engine is fixed up and returns to the rails as part of the railroad's heritage fleet.

could put them on display with a sign leading to 4014. better keep them away from scrapper grabbers tho...

if 4014 is completely retired in the future they could put them back in.
Hay guys, make sure that stoker motor works..anywayz....hokay?

looks like oil conversion is on its way.

5-7 years? we'll see, but bet if they push just a little here or there they can knock off a lot of time.
