Lee, That shot in Nashville was taken when he was there to do a PSA for the American Freedom Train. We used that PSA very effectively to generate ticket sales months ahead of the AFT's arrival in many cities across the land.

He also did other radio PSA's which helped us a lot.

Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton also recorded " All Aboard America-Here Comes the Freedom Train" for us and it made it into the top 10 on the Billboard charts. We sold a ton of those 45rpm records from the AFT's souvenir shop.

Great memories.

Oh boy, 45-rpm records. . .we date ourselves when we say we remember things like this.

My wife tells me I lie about my age. She says I am not 59 years old, but that I am really 159 years old! She says only someone that old would know about the old stuff that I know about, in particular the train stuff, because I must have lived back then!

45 rpm records? Heck, I have a 78 rpm copy of "On the Atchison Topeka and the Santa Fe." (no Edison cylinders, though)

I was looking for something completely unrelated and I just found the actual photo they used for the album cover in my original question!

Nice shot. If I was into Reading RR stuff, I'd get one of these for sure...

Heh, heh, heh, who says you have to be into the Reading? If you have the money and don't mind spending it. . . .

I have very limited wall space and I'm very focused on one specific RR for anything that gets hung up in the back room with the model train layout...

I could be wrong, but this appears to be somewhere along the Bethlehem Branch. Could anyone shed some light on this?
