For your discussion and opinions:

1. Do you offer commentary on your train ride/experience.
2. Do you feel that this is an effective addition to your experience.
3. What system(s) do you use - GPS activated, "canned", mobile app, scripted, or "stream-of-conciousness" according to the person giving it.

In classifieds?

Previous employer - yes, very effective, scripted but allowing for personalization of the script. Talk was on the coast downhill, audio programming uphill was the locomotives at work. The talk allowed for several breaks of a few minutes and the best conductors knew when to just let the scenery do the talking.........

I'd advocate scripted, after being subjected to a "stream of consciousness" style talk at IRM a few years ago, which included his personal dislike of SD40-2's, abuse of Rule G, his personal dislike of smokers, and many and various other off topic ramblings, given in a style best described as "deranged railfan who has never gotten laid"

ARRGH!

I put this in the wrong forum!

Can one of the moderators be kind enough to move it to the Interchange forum?

Thank you,

Omar the Tentmaker.
