Below is a link to a turntable for sale. From looking at the pictures can anyone identify the location?

D&H Rouses Point, NY. That roundhouse is where NKP 759 sustained some freeze damage in late 1973 (do a search for NKP 759 on this site for info).

this turntable was listed on Craig's list by a local real estate agent for a very high figure this past summer. Buyer was responsible for shipping!

Is that a wood sand tower (with spigot) in the background of some of the photos?

Howard,
I recall reading a few years ago some rather strong refutations of 759 sustaining any freeze damage. Also that there were some inspections of it when the asbestos was abated and reported no damage was found. Perhaps this was a myth that took on a life of its own over the years and needs to be dispelled instead of perpetuated?

The freeze damage was comparatively minor-- some superheater return bends, a possibly one of the feedwater pump castings. Nothing remotely like a cracked cylinder casting.

Damage to NKP 759 is discussed here in detail.
