Anybody ever see any MOW rosters or equipment books for roads in Mexico? Particularly interested in cranes, wreckers & pile drivers.

John, one person who might be able to help is John Kirchner. PM me and I can give you contact info.

He is a retired professor and spends a lot of his time abroad.

Nothing MoW-specific, but there are some good English-language books. Expect to spend some money, though!

Dr Kirchner is an excellent suggestion, but you might also try posting your question to: www.MEXLIST.com

thanks for the suggestion but I contacted Mexlist years ago and got no information. It is like there is a big wall at the US/Mexican boarder and no information gets by it.

I'm not here to slam Mexlist, but I tend to agree with John. I joined a few years back
and asked one specific question and got no help whatsoever. I believe it has kinda evolved into primarily a modeling forum.

Fellas, you're entitled to your opinions, but MEXLIST has worked great for me over the years. In fact, I consider it the best group on the web because there is virtually ZERO childish squabbling of the type common to other railfan forums. This group of guys understand tact and courtesy, and the membership not only includes some very famous names, (like Dr Kirchner), but is knowledgeable about pretty much anything you can dream of relating to Mexican railroads. Many retired rails are on it, too. Try asking in Spanish, even though the group is supposedly English language, most of the retirees are not real good in English. This group is actually bilingual.

The only fly in the ointment is that Yahoo groups have steadily become more of a nuisance to use as the years have gone by, the more they
"improve" them..
