Crickets! The sound of Crickets. Not surprised, Russ isn't here to fight with!

A legend who has done more for preservation and education the this group ever will. Until around 1980 since then he has had a series of failed ideas.

Fix - you need to know who you are talking about in order to have anything meaningful to say. Not even knowing his real name only costs you any credibility you might have gained with a subset of readers here who share your perspectives. Hint: it's the same as the guy who was in love with Rachel.

If there's anything real to discuss about this fledgling group that is hopefully going to find its path to doing good things for our industry, fine - otherwise let it go for now. But at least be credible.......

Fixologist61 -- then sign your messages so we know who you are. That way we know you're serious about getting your name out there.

It's a TV reference. "Roschel" - Ross (not Russ) Geller and Rachel Green from the show 'Friends'.

Jennifer Aniston, yes. Rachel Green -- not so much!

As previously posted I wish the new Iron Horse group every success and hope that they will assist the NPS in making Steamtown the best it can be.....all things considered.

As to my track record since 1980 being all failures I would beg to differ. I don't think anyone thinks that the 1996-98 614 program with NJ Transit was anything but a great success ( 24 mainline steam excursions, no diesels, track speed ( 79 mph) , real runbys, open windows...the "full monty" for the first time in 15 years and not since) , plus another 6 steam restorations that I have helped fund/organize since 1995 that I was proud to be a behind the scenes supporter of, plus I hope you'll for give me, but since 1980 I've also done several good real estate deals that have worked out well.

Let's all hope the new group brings lots of new life into Scranton.

Thanks, Ross ( not Russ) Rowland
