So for those who are unaware, the original Boston, Barre and Gardner Railroad depot (along with the freight house and crossing guard's hut) in Holden, MA still stand. The depot had a garage door cut into the side of it, and the other two are more or less the same configuration. Whoever owns the property these days uses it to store his collection of vintage trucks... Now I know that the buildings went up some time between 1869 and 1871 when the line (now P&W's Gardner Branch) went into service. Beyond that, I haven't had much luck finding more on them... I know there was a second track there (pulled up at some unknown point in time), and the train order signal was moved from the original location next to the station to the rooftop. When did the property get sold off? Is there any record of that? Is there any sort of photographs of the buildings from over the years? I found one, but I don't know when it was taken... I'd guess around the turn of the 20th century, but I don't know for sure. And for those who don't know what I'm taking, here's the location I'm referring to;

Hi Daylight 4449
If you go to the Website Railroad Stations in Massachusetts, you will find a few more photos of the station in Holden, Mass. As for finding when the property was sold that you have to go to the local town hall to find that information.
