It looks likely that Mt Hood 7 a 1924 UP CA caboose will head to Cheyenne (again) soon. Declared surplus by the Stuhr museum in Grand Island, it was donated to them after spending dome years in the Cheyenne roundhouse in the 70s and 80s. It's lost its original interior sadly but needs a home and we at High Plains RR preservation believe we have the ability to display it properly and in correct context. We have a Go Fund Me set up for any that wish to help us move her.

Congratulations!! You might be missing the interior, at least as you would like it, but otherwise you have a more complete car, including trucks, than has been available so far!!

I have no doubt that you can do a fine job of remaking the interior. Nice catch.

Perhaps you've already considered this, but it occurs to me that since this caboose is already set up as a display car, you might "salvage" the trucks for another car, ground this one and use it as a display building to show off the history, progress and skills of your organization.
