I saw that announcement too. Glad to hear someone's thinking of putting it back together. Washington's logging mallets haven't been fairing too well in the recent past. The Kinsey Photographer Series of books has a few photos of the locomotive.

Brings up an interesting subject - anybody know what is happening to all the rusting hulks in Snoqualamie? Was up there a year ago and looked like nothing has been done with any of the steam power.
There seemed to be a diesel capable of moving a train near the depot. I think there was a problem with land / hazardous waste / whatever else? A guy with a shotgun chased me off from there several years ago.
Dave
The Northwest Railway Museum is alive and well. They've recently been able to replace a bridge that had been damaged in a storm several years ago and plan to run their trains all the way to the falls this season. Last year they completed a new "house" track for the Snoqualmie station that they are using as a display track. They also have a fund drive under way to build a shop in which they can begin the work of returning U.S. Plywood 2-6-6-2 #11 to operation. As to the rest of their steam collection... I've not heard anything.
